About Fifty Nifty
Fifty Nifty is the first horse GoldenBlue has signed from the Tattersalls sale. A 5-year-old bay gelding and a proven Class 2 winner, he has joined Brian Ellison's yard in Malton, North Yorkshire, where the next chapter of his racing career begins.
Â
Pedigree
Fifty Nifty is by Ten Sovereigns, out of Leala, a daughter of the Group 1 winner Montjeu. He is a half-brother to Obviously, winner of the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (Grade 1) in America.
Â
His racing so far
Fifty Nifty has won three times and earned over £50,000 in prize money. His wins include a Class 2 handicap on Newmarket's Rowley Mile, and he has run to a Racing Post Rating of 100. He showed he still has the speed when finishing second in a Class 2 at Ascot in September.
Â
Your trainer: Brian Ellison
Brian trains from Spring Cottage Stables in Malton, North Yorkshire, where he has grown his yard from around 20 horses to over 100. A dual-purpose trainer with big wins on the Flat and over jumps, including the Ebor and the Northumberland Plate, he also trains Suenicora Star.
Â
What's next
Fifty Nifty will settle in at Spring Cottage first. Brian will then map out his plans, and members will be the first to hear through weekly updates from the yard.
